Reel Cinemas Mobile Website

Traffic recently assisted UAE real estate giant and leisure management kingpin Emaar, whose portfolio boasts some of the most exclusive properties in the region, including the Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina Mall. Emaar came to us seeking help in the production of a “mobi” website for Reel Cinemas, of which there are 2 in Dubai, one in each of their 2 shopping malls.

Reel Cinemas UAE already had mobile application that had been built as a response to the increasing number of customers accessing their company website via mobile devices and tablet hardware. The drawback of their existing app was that it was only available for Apple handheld devices such as iPads and iPhones, while statistics overtly indicated that visitors accessed their main website on all manner of smart phones and tablets. Clearly what was needed was a cross-platform multi-device option that would be compatible with the likes of Android and Blackberry smart-phones, as well as Apple products.

The solution to this predicament was a “mobi” website, which is a mobile HTML-based version of the company’s mobile application. This mobile formatted website allows you to browse new releases, see current listings, coming soon films, check out information on all films and make online booking of tickets through your mobile device. Traffic built this mobile website using HTML 5, the newly released industry standard, which makes for cleaner code and offers more versatility and elegance in design. The result is a mobile site with minimalist, clean visuals and fast load speed; this guarantees the Reel Cinemas site can be universally accessed by handheld devices of every kind, with users being able to browse the website and access information easily and quickly.
